TAKING A STAND TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST

WOMEN

Dear bijesh,
On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, World Pulse joins organizations across the globe in kicking off 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence. Since July, World Pulse has been collecting stories and solutions from women on the ground about this very issue. We know that the voices of survivors and their allies will light the way forward. And we know that this movement needs every one of us.

You can be a part of the solution.

1  Start by Listening

Every day throughout the 16 Days of Activism, we’ll be highlighting stories, solutions, and resources from our Facebookcommunity on Facebook and Twitter. Follow us to stay up-to-date on emerging voices writing about gender-based violence.

2 Join Hands Across Borders

Over 150 women have bravely shared their stories as part of our Ending Violence Against Women Digital Action PulseWireCampaign. Often, these women are speaking out on this topic for the first time. By reading their submissions and leaving supportive comments, you are showing women that their voices matter.

 3 Raise Your Voice

Don’t remain silent on this urgent issue. With less than three weeks left to submit to our Digital Action Campaignnow is the time to share your own story or solution. We are collecting submissions through December 10 and will be delivering these stories to the UN Commission on the Status of Women in March.

EVAW

Violence—-from domestic abuse, to honor crimes, to child marriage, to rape in conflict—-is one of our greatest global challenges, but the voices of survivors and their allies across the globe are rising with a power that will change our world.

You are a part of that. Thank you for taking a stand.
